Love is very fickle. Ironically when your in a situation where intense passion and unconditional love is involved you become consumed. Often to a point where you believe you will reside here forever.
Throughout the struggles of dealing with relationships, the in's and the out's of the situation. The breaking up and making up we become addicted to the fight (not to be confused with fighting which may occur in partnerships). But the struggle of making it work when in actuality it probably should not.
I say all that to say this...when the storm has cleared and the decisions to part are made....even when it is for the betterment of all parties involved do we know how to cope. Do we know how to be at peace with the fact that we are truly at peace with the decision. Sometimes the peace and harmony can be scary especially when it is something you are not used to or expected to come.
Someone once said " As humans we are so addicted to the fight and struggle of obtaining what we want that once we get it.. we have no idea what to do. We have difficulty dealing once there is no more struggle or fight"
With that being said....After a long struggle I finally found peace. It catches me off guard everyday that the situation is over and that I am at peace with it. Its almost like I'm waiting for a relapse. Last night I got confirmation that there will be no relapse .....I can pass GO and I can collect my $200.
I am so elated and so grateful.
